The concept of a high-quality balcony table originated from personal experience. In Amsterdam, there are more balconies than gardens. Still, most garden furniture is not suitable for an Amsterdam balcony. A French bistro table accommodates two persons at most, and a plastic garden set usually doesn't look all that great. And so, in 1994 David Hirsch started designing and making balcony tables that accommodate several persons (6+), yet also look good. From then on, things proceeded naturally, and the demand for his balcony tables kept growing. In order to accommodate the increasing growth and to professionalise even more, Paul Bekkers became David's partner in 2013
